Overview / Summary of Topics:

When conducting a Needs Analysis, you need to determine the problems and goals, determine what the learner should already know, determine the characteristics of the learner, determine restraints of the instruction, and blend these items into a general learner scenario.  You need to conduct a pre-test and post-test when dealing with a needs analysis.  Goals of personalized learning include course materials that fit individual learners' needs, effectively transmitting information and more data that gives the students a clearer picture.  This week we did a reinforcement activity about creating objectives and making sure they match our activities/lesson.

 

Item of Interest:

Learning about what a Needs Analysis is and the tools you need to have in order how to best present a lesson to your students and help them understand it.  I also really enjoyed getting more practice in creating objectives.

 

Areas of Help or Clarification:

I was a little confused about what it meant as the level of blooms on the reinforcement activity.
